Our Core Values

The bible is a story with a theme like any good book would have. The theme of the bible is redemption. God is rescuing people. Mans trajectory is in the opposite direction of God. He is pointed away from God because of his sinful life. The good news (the gospel) is that God already had a plan in place to resolve mans conflict with himself through a person named Jesus. Man is doomed unless someone intervenes for him. The gospel reminds us of what God had to do in order for man to be rescued. Mankind needs 1-forgiveness for their sins and 2-goodness outside themselves to be accepted by God. Jesus ALONE is the one who provides both to man. The gospel is the only message that can enlighten and save man and God has given the gospel message to be declared by those redeemed.

The gospel story when embraced creates a new community of people who agree to live life together as a new family called the church. Like the early church 2000 years ago, we gather for corporate worship on Sunday and in smaller groups outside the church throughout the week. We strive to be a diverse and friendly community of faith welcoming people of all backgrounds and ethnicities. Because Jesus said that our love for one another demonstrates that we belong to him, we will serve, pray, support, rejoice, and bear one another’s burdens. As we live in community we will point to the truth and power of the gospel. It is changing the lives of  people in our community.

The gospel also calls us to be a part of God’s mission to change lives. Just as God seeks to glorify himself through people, he is moving to change all things.  We as a church will seek to glorify him by declaring  the gospel outside the church in our neighborhoods, workplaces, and social networks. This means that every member of Redemption Fellowship will live like a missionary by striving to make disciples of all peoples. We will also labor sacrificially for the good of our city and the world by engaging in deeds of kindness and mercy. Ultimately, we desire to play our part in God’s mission of redemption by planting churches from Fall River to the ends of the earth.
